Music has the power to change the world.

The Impact Music & Culture Award (IMCA) honors musical artists whose work has impacted society positively. By recognizing their accomplishments, and uniting a global community of musicians and fans, IMCA encourages emerging artists to use their talents to promote unity and equity for all.

IMCA was founded by Brian Hardgroove, a renowned musician, producer, and member of the legendary band Public Enemy. Hardgroove was inspired to create the award after witnessing firsthand the cultural change that can come from music. Recognizing that power, he's devoted his life and career to cultivating positive change and inspiring others to do the same.

IMCA spans the globe to recognize the most impactful artists in their own cultures and regions, and highlights their achievements as examples and standards for others to follow. By respecting cultural change as a measure of success and proving that great art has no borders, the Impact Music & Culture Award underscores that music’s lasting impact is about more than just sales numbers.
